The Silence before Symphony

I was in the mood for the secrets of Life

The most mysterious of all mysteries,
those were the most seductive to me

Sounds lured me to Parisian
streets of midnight navy,
hidden by stars and the moon

Through dark clouds of jazz blues
In Les Halles they found me
the ones they called those who knew

They took me underground
and told me forbidden things,
too beautiful for the world to call true

The more I heard, the deeper the mystery,
until the loss of myself was complete

Now my heart sings only the secret things
I am the feeling as music is freed
the Silence before symphony
